Prompt Khoj (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the Prompt Khoj mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use the App.

1. Information We Collect

  • Device & Usage Data: Device type, OS version, app interactions, and basic diagnostic data.
  • Analytics Data: Aggregated usage analytics (e.g., Firebase Analytics).
  • Advertising Data: Ad interactions and device identifiers used for ad delivery and measurement (e.g., Google AdMob).
  • Push Notification Data: If enabled, a device token is stored to deliver notifications (e.g., OneSignal).
  • Content Data: Posts and media displayed from our WordPress backend (PromptKhoj.com).
  • “When you use the Request a Prompt feature, we collect the image you upload, your message text, request timestamp, and technical metadata (such as IP address and device/app information required to process the request).”
  • “Uploaded images/messages submitted via Request a Prompt are used only to process your request and moderation/support purposes.”
  • Retention – “We retain request submissions and related logs only as long as necessary for operations, abuse prevention, legal compliance, and support.”

We do not collect personal data such as name, email, or phone unless explicitly provided elsewhere.

2. How We Use Information

3. Ads and Analytics

We use third‑party services to deliver ads and measure usage:

  • Google AdMob (ads)
  • Firebase Analytics (analytics)
  • OneSignal (push notifications)

These providers may collect device identifiers or ad interaction data to deliver ads and analytics. You can limit ad tracking or reset your advertising ID in your device settings.

4. App Tracking Transparency (iOS)

On iOS, we request permission before accessing the advertising identifier (IDFA). If you deny permission, we will show non‑personalized ads.

5. Push Notifications

If you allow notifications, we store a device token to send updates. You can disable notifications anytime in your device settings.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We may share limited data with service providers for:

  • App analytics
  • Ad delivery and measurement
  • Push notifications

We may rely on platform speech-recognition services (Apple/Google) to convert voice input into text for the voice-search feature.

7. Data Retention

We retain analytics and ad data only as long as needed to improve the App and comply with legal obligations.

We take reasonable steps to protect data but cannot guarantee complete security.

9. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Microphone and Voice Search

If you use the voice search feature in the App, we request permission to access your device microphone and speech recognition services.

What we collect:
– Voice input only for converting speech to text for search.
– The converted search text entered in the search field.

How we use it:
– To help you search prompts using your voice.
– To improve voice-search usability and feature performance.

What we do not do:
– We do not store or keep raw voice recordings on our servers.
– We do not use voice input for user profiling.

Third-party/platform processing:
– Speech-to-text may be processed by your device platform providers (such as Apple or Google), based on your OS settings and their policies.

Control and permissions:
– Voice search is optional.
– You can deny or revoke microphone/speech permissions at any time from your device settings.
– If permission is denied, voice search will not work, but text search remains available

12. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. Changes will be posted in the App or on our website.
